Festival programme HERE

Welcome to the Sheffield Walking Festival, organised by the South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire (SYNED) Ramblers.

Whether you're new to walking or a seasoned rambler, we'd love you to join us. Our programme features a wide variety of free guided walks, showcasing Sheffield's beautiful countryside, vibrant urban neighbourhoods, fascinating heritage and green spaces. The festival also features selected walks that form part of Sheffield Heritage Open Days. Visit the Sheffield Heritage Open Days website to discover the full programme of heritage events taking place across the city.

2026

All walks are free and are led by our volunteer walk leaders.

Some walks require advance booking, so please read the individual walk details carefully before registering

-Make sure the distance, terrain and pace are suitable for your fitness and ability.

- Note events in eventbrite may have a sold out status because they are booked directed with walk leader rather  than through eventbrite; open up the event and reading bookig details for a link to book.

Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the advertised start time and come prepared with suitable footwear, clothing appropriate for the weather, and anything else you may need for the day.

We hope you enjoy exploring Sheffield on foot and have a fantastic festival!
